Terranort fanart - KH BBS

I know, I know I know! Terra's armour is hideous! ^{(Well, I hope you can at least identify him as Terra/Terranort O_o)} His whole arm is wrong, everytime I tried to corrected it it only got worse I've never drawn an armour before, nor do I want to try again. I hope I managed to at least do his hand well.

So, this drawing was meant to be completely different. It was supposed to be a cheerful happy drawing with the 3 Keyblade Masters, to stand for the positive feeling of Awake and Alive by Skillet. Obviously it went very very wrong and it made me very angry, so I went for the opposite, in terms of the whole theme of the drawing. Farther Away by Evanescence, for the sadness of Terra's demise and what this particular scene with the Heartless means in terms of Aqua's fate too (the lyrics match Aqua much more perfectly, but the reason they do is because of Terra, so it's fitting, I think). So instead of being a drawing meant to celebrate friendship, it became a drawing to show how friendship is doomed by damnation. Imagine you're seeing this image through Aqua's eyes.

This is also made with no real reference, yay for my second real fanart. I do know that the pose is very basic specially in terms of Kingdom Hearts, and since I had to look attentively for Terra's outfit details and such, it may have influenciated my shading and perhaps some aspects of the drawing itself, perhaps stealing some of originality points from the fanart Still, the basic classic pose came out of my head, the hands were drawn after my own (though I suspect no one but me can understand the Heartless's hand pose), and you can see I slightly changed the design of the shadow Guardian Heartless for my own fitting yay me.

I had my first approach to a graphite pencil in this drawing too, and it wasn't as good as one might want. I need to train more with it (it's so heavy O_O) I still need to train a lot more, there are many aspects I don't like in here, my proportion is really wrong, and prespective needs to gets better too. I hate making the lineart, I prefer shading a lot more.

The Japanese reads "His heart has disappeared in the darkness" (translated to "Terra's heart has been extinguished" in the USA version), and is a line that Terranort says to Aqua in Last Episode. Kingdom Hearts is really the best game to learn Japanese from, in my opinion.
